Judith J. Judith J. Pickens

1980-Present

Judith J. Pickens has more than 25 years experience as an educator and human service professional. She began her Boys & Girls Club career in 1980, serving as center director for the Crime Prevention Association of Philadelphia, a BGCA affiliate. She then served as BGCA’s director of career development, managing the Robert Woodruff Fellowship Program and creating the Junior Staff Career Development Program.

In her current post as senior vice president of Program Services, one of BGCA's largest and most creative departments, Pickens is responsible for developing and implementing national programs in the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s five core program areas. She is a graduate of the Thomas G. Garth Executive Leadership Program, and 1998 recipient of the Herman S. Prescott Award for fostering the advancement of women and minorities in the Movement. Because of her exemplary leadership, courage, vision and dedication, Pickens has been honored with numerous awards and citations, including the 1999 Phenomenal Woman Leadership Award and the Mayor of Philadelphia’s Outstanding Community Service Award.
